Setting up Chartzy
New to Chartzy? Start here — from creating your account to your first care log.
1 How do I create an account? Sign up, agree to terms, and get into the app ›
Open the app and tap "Don't have an account? Signup"
On the login screen, tap the link at the bottom to go to the sign-up page.
Fill in your details
Enter your full name, email address, and create a password. Confirm your password in the field below.
Agree to the terms and tap "Create Account"
Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and EULA.
Only the account holder pays for the subscription. Caregivers you add later get free access.
2 How do I choose a subscription plan? Select yearly or monthly and start your free 2-week trial ›
After creating your account you'll be taken to the Premium screen. Chartzy offers a free 2-week trial — you won't be charged until after the trial ends.
Choose Yearly ($59.99) or Monthly ($6.99)
Select the plan that works best for you. Tap it to select, then tap Continue.
About add-ons
Premium includes 2 profiles and 3 caregivers per profile. Purchase add-ons after activating Premium if you need more.
Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in the App Store → Subscriptions.
3 How do I create a care profile? Set up a profile for the person you're caring for ›
After subscribing you'll land on the Select a Profile screen. A profile holds all the care information for one person.
Tap "+ Create profile"
Tap + Create profile on the Select a Profile screen.
Enter a profile name and confirm timezone
Type a name for the profile and confirm the timezone is correct, then tap Create Profile.
Premium includes 2 profiles. Purchase add-ons for more.

Your profile appears with a Ready status. Tap the radio button to select it.
Tap "Continue"
Tap Continue at the bottom to enter the Today's Care home screen.
Switch profiles anytime from Settings → Profile → Switch Profile.

Today's Care grid
The home screen shows all features in a grid: Medications, Feeds, Care Notes, Supply Change Schedule, Appointments, and Respiratory. Tap any tile to go to that section.

Quickly access Home, Meds, Feeds, Supplies, and Menu from the tab bar at the bottom of the screen.
6 How do I switch between profiles? View, switch, and manage all your care profiles ›
After setting up your profiles, you can switch between them at any time from the Menu.
Tap Menu → Profiles
Tap the Menu (☰) in the bottom tab bar and select Profiles. You will see all your profiles with the currently active one highlighted. Each profile also shows the caregivers assigned to it so you can see who has access at a glance.
Tap a profile to switch
Tap any profile to switch to it — all care tracking will update immediately to reflect the selected profile.
You can also add a new profile from this screen by tapping + Create Profile without going back to Settings.
Medications
Track and schedule every medication for the person in your care.
1 How do I add a new medication? Enter medication name, dose, route, schedule, and days ›
Go to Medications and tap "+ Add Meds"
Tap Meds in the tab bar or the Medications tile on the home screen. Tap + Add Meds.
Fill in the medication details
Enter the name, dose amount, dose unit, and route (e.g. Oral, G-tube, IV). Tap Add time to set administration times.
Set the schedule and tap "Save Medication"
Enter the start date and end date. Tap the days of the week it repeats. Tap Save Medication.
Removing a medication
To remove a medication for a single day only, tap the trash can icon. To stop it permanently, open the medication and set the end date to the last day it will be given.
If a medication is given every day with no planned stop date, set the end date to one year from today. You can always update it later.

Use the date picker on the Medications screen
Tap the date button in the top right to pick any day and see scheduled doses. Check off each dose as it is given.
Each medication has a checkbox. Once marked it shows as completed and stays visible for recordkeeping.
Feeds
Log feeding sessions, water intake, and track daily nutrition totals.

Tap "+ Feed Reminder" → "Log a Feed"
Tap Feeds in the tab bar. Tap + Feed Reminder and select Log a Feed.
Fill in the feed details
Select Feed Type and Method. Set scheduled time, dates, amount and unit. Add a notification message and any notes.
Tap "Set Reminder" to save
Tap Set Reminder to save and activate the notification.
To stop a feed reminder, open it and update the end date to the last day it will be given. For daily feeds, set the end date to one year from today.
2 How do I log water intake? Track daily water with type, amount, and reminders ›
Tap "+ Feed Reminder" → "Log Water"
Tap + Feed Reminder on the Feeds screen and select Log Water.
Fill in details and tap "Log Water"
Select the type, set time, dates, amount and unit. Add optional notes. Tap Log Water.
To stop a water reminder, update the end date to the last day it will be given. For daily water, set the end date to one year from today.
3 How do I view feeding totals? See total feeds and water for today, yesterday, or this week ›
Use the Today / Yesterday / This Week tabs
The Feeds screen shows Total Feeds and Total Water in ml. Tap Today, Yesterday, or This Week to switch time ranges.
Care Notes
Record daily observations, behaviors, and important updates.

Go to Care Notes and tap "+ Add Note"
Open via the home grid or Menu → Care Notes. Tap the pink + Add Note button.
Write your note and add tags
Describe your observations. Tap preset tags (vomiting, seizure, feeding, medication, sleep, mood) or add a custom tag.
Attach media and tap "Save Note"
Optionally upload a photo or video. Tap Save Note.
2 How do I search past notes? Find previous entries using the search bar ›
Use the search bar
Type any keyword, tag, or phrase in the Search notes… bar to find past entries instantly.
Supply Change Schedule
Track when medical supplies need to be changed or restocked.

Go to Supplies and tap "+ Add Supply"
Tap Supplies in the tab bar or the Supply Change Schedule tile. Tap the purple + Add Supply.
Enter supply details
Type the supply name, select a change interval, and set the start date.
Tap "Add Supply"
The item appears in the correct interval section on the main screen.

Choose from Daily, Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, or Every 3 Months. Each has its own section on the main screen.
3 How does the supply change schedule work? Understanding dates, intervals, and tracking ›
When you add a supply item, set the start date for when you want reminders to begin and select a change interval — this is how often the supply needs to be changed. The end date is optional and only needed if the supply has a planned stop date.
What each supply item shows
Once saved, each supply displays the start date tracking began, the last completed date which updates every time you check it off, and the next due date automatically calculated from your interval.
Future start dates appear gray
If you enter a future start date, the supply block will appear gray with a message showing when it starts. You can delete it at any time, but you will not be able to mark it complete until the start date arrives.
Appointments
Manage upcoming doctor visits, therapies, and specialist appointments.

Go to Appointments and tap "+ Add Appt"
Open via home grid or Menu → Appointments. Tap the gold + Add Appt.
Fill in appointment details
Enter provider name, specialty, date and time, and location. Add optional visit notes.
Set a reminder and tap "Add Appointment"
Check Set reminder 24 hours before. Tap Add Appointment to save.
Always check Set reminder 24 hours before so you never miss an appointment.
The calendar on your home screen displays only your scheduled appointments, making it easy to see what is coming up at a glance. Days with an appointment will show a dot — tap the dot and scroll down to see the full appointment details without needing to open the Appointments section.

Check "Set reminder 24 hours before"
At the bottom of the Add Appointment form, check Set reminder 24 hours before. Chartzy will send a notification the day before.
Make sure notifications are enabled in Phone Settings → Notifications → Chartzy.
Respiratory
Track ventilator sessions, hours off vent, and ventilator settings.

Go to Respiratory and tap "+ Add Session"
Open via home grid or Menu → Respiratory. Tap + Add Session.
Select session type and set times
Choose a Session Type. Set Time On and Time Off.
Add notes and tap "Add Session"
Add optional notes then tap Add Session. The time contributes to the Hours Off Vent Today tracker.

Tap "+" next to Ventilator Settings
On the Respiratory screen tap the + beside Ventilator Settings.
Enter name and value, then tap "Add setting"
Type the setting name (e.g. F102) and value (e.g. 21). Tap Add setting.
Checklist
Create and manage daily care routines and task lists.

Go to Checklists and tap "+ New List"
Open via home grid or Menu → Checklist. Tap + New List.
Name it and choose a type
Enter a name and select a type: Daily, Weekly, Emergency, or Custom.
Add items and tap "Create Checklist"
Type each item and tap Add. When done tap Create Checklist.
Once created, your checklist stays saved and ready to use every time. Check off items as they are completed — they will remain checked until you manually uncheck them, make edits, or delete the list. No need to recreate the same routine from scratch every day.

Go to Menu → Tips & Tricks. Browse the community feed — search by keyword or filter by category.

Tap the orange + Add Tip button on the Tips & Tricks screen.
Write your tip and choose a category
Share advice up to 500 characters. Select a category: Feeding, Ventilator, Medications, Appointments, or Organization.
Choose name display and tap "Share Tip"
Post with your account name, a custom name, or anonymously. Preview then tap Share Tip.

Open Settings from the Menu
Tap Menu → Settings. Three sections: Profile (switch/add), Caregivers (manage access), Preferences (timezone).
Manage notifications and data
Scroll down for Notification Settings — toggle Medication Reminders, Feeding Reminders, and Supply Change Alerts on or off individually.
About notifications
Chartzy notifications are local notifications — generated directly by the app on your device. They work even when you are offline. Enable notifications both inside the app (Settings → Notification Settings) and in Phone Settings → Notifications → Chartzy.
Your data is encrypted and stored securely. Chartzy never shares personal information with third parties.
2 How do I add a caregiver? Invite someone and set their role and login credentials ›
Up to 3 caregivers per profile. Caregivers get free access — only the account holder pays.
Tap "+" next to Caregivers in Settings
Go to Menu → Settings. Under Caregivers, tap the +.
Fill in details and choose a role
Enter their name and email. Choose a role: Secondary, Professional, or Backup Caregiver. Toggle Create new account to set their password.
Tap "Save Changes"
They appear in the list. Edit or remove them using the pencil or trash icons.
3 How do I set caregiver permissions? Control what each caregiver can edit, view, or access ›
Tap "Permissions" on a caregiver's card
In the Caregivers section tap the Permissions button on the caregiver's card.
Set Edit, View, or None for each feature
Edit — can make changes · View — read only · None — no access. Tap Save Permissions when done.
Profile Management controls whether a caregiver can create new users, add profiles, and make account-level changes. If the caregiver is a nurse, family member, or anyone who should only be logging care — set this to None. Only grant Edit access to someone you fully trust to manage the account, like a co-parent or primary backup caregiver.
4 What can the primary caregiver do? Full control — add, edit, remove caregivers and manage permissions ›
The Primary Caregiver is the account holder with full control over the profile.
Full access to all features
Can view, edit, and log entries across every feature in the app.
Full caregiver management
Only the Primary Caregiver can add, edit, remove caregivers, and set permissions.
Added caregivers cannot add others or change permissions — only the Primary Caregiver can.
5 How do I log out? Sign out of your Chartzy account ›
Go to Menu → Settings and scroll down
Tap Menu → Settings and scroll to the bottom of the screen. You will see a red Log Out button. Tap it to sign out of your account.
6 How do I delete my profile data? Permanently remove data from a profile ›
Go to Menu → Settings and scroll to the bottom
Tap Menu → Settings and scroll to the bottom. Tap the red Delete Profile Data button to permanently remove all data for the current profile.
Repeat for each profile
If you have more than one profile, you will need to switch to each profile and repeat this process separately. Deleting one profile's data does not affect the others.
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you want to remove the data before confirming.

Editing & Deleting Entries
How to update or remove entries across all sections of the app.
1 How do I edit or delete an existing entry? Update or remove entries in any section ›
Each section in Chartzy has its own way to edit or remove entries. Here is how to update information in each area:
Medications
Tap the calendar with pencil icon on the medication to open and edit the details.
Feeds
Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner of a feed entry to edit the time or details.
Supply Change Schedule
Supplies cannot be edited directly. Delete the entry using the trash icon and re-add it with the correct information.
Care Notes
Tap the pencil icon on a note to edit it.
Appointments
Tap the pencil icon on an appointment to edit the details.
Respiratory
Tap the pencil icon on a session to edit it.
Checklist
Tap the pencil icon on a checklist to edit it or its items.
Tips & Tricks
Tips cannot be edited. You can only delete a tip you have shared. Tap the delete option to remove it.

When your 14-day free trial ends, your account automatically moves into your selected subscription plan and payments begin recurring on your chosen billing cycle — monthly or yearly. You will not lose any of your data or care records.

When you sign up, you will select either a monthly or yearly subscription plan. You will not be charged during the 14-day trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription will automatically begin and be charged through your app store account.

Subscriptions must be canceled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Chartzy does not manage cancellations directly.
On iPhone / iPad
Go to Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → Chartzy → Cancel Subscription.
On Android
Open Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Chartzy → Cancel.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next period.
