1 Who We Are
Chartzy is a care management application built and operated by Chartzy LLC. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at info@chartzy.net.
2 Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the Chartzy experience:
- Account information: Your first name and email address when you create an account
- Care data you enter: Medications, feeding schedules, appointments, care notes, supply logs, and any other information you choose to track
- Caregiver information: Names of caregivers you invite to share access to your account
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and IP address collected automatically to keep the App functioning properly
- Usage data: How you interact with the App, used to improve features and performance over time
3 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:
- To provide the App and keep your data synced across your devices
- To send reminders and notifications you have configured
- To process and manage your subscription securely
- To respond to support requests and communications
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the App over time
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising purposes, and we do not build or sell user profiles.
4 Third-Party Service Providers
We work with two trusted providers to operate Chartzy. We share only what is necessary for each to do their job:
- Supabase stores your app data securely. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.
- RevenueCat manages subscription billing only. They receive your subscription status and do not have access to any of your care data.
Neither provider is permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone else.
5 How We Protect Your Data
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information:
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Data stored through Supabase is encrypted at rest
- Account access is protected by your login credentials
- Internal access to user data is limited to what is necessary to provide the service
While we take security seriously, no system is completely immune to risk. We encourage you to use a strong password and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
6 HIPAA Notice
HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) applies to healthcare providers, health plans, and their business associates. Chartzy is a personal caregiving tool used directly by families and individuals, so HIPAA does not apply to our service. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate.
This does not change our commitment to protecting your information. As described in Section 5, we use encryption and access controls to keep your data secure, and as described in Section 4, we never sell your data.
7 Caregiver Access
You may invite caregivers to view and interact with your account. When you do, they will have access to the information associated with the permissions you have granted. You are responsible for managing caregiver access and revoking it when no longer appropriate. Chartzy is not liable for how shared caregivers use or disclose information once access has been granted.
8 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your profile data at any time directly in the app by going to Settings and selecting "Delete Profile Data." If you need further assistance, you can also contact us at info@chartzy.net.
9 Children's Privacy
Chartzy is intended for adults aged 18 and older who are managing care for themselves or a dependent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account without proper legal authority, we will delete that account promptly.
10 Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your profile data directly in the app under Settings. To request a copy of your data or withdraw consent, contact us at info@chartzy.net.
11 Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You can always review the current version on our website or in the app under About. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
